CANNOT empty Recycle Bin on OneDrive Server

Hi Everyone,

My Window 11 Version is 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3296)

Just unlinked my laptop from the OneDrive.

However, after deleting all those files on OneDrive cloud server, I cannot empty the Recycle Bin on OneDrive!

By clicking OneDrive/Manage Storage - In the Storage summary - I click "Empty recycle bin" - a message pops up, "Please wait while the selected items are retrieved". I wait and wait, NOTHING happens.

When I click on the Recycle Bin on the OneDrive webpage, ALL those files are still listed in there. When I left-click to "Toggle selection for all items", only the "Restore" option shows up - there is NO delete option anywhere. How do I permanently delete anything and everything in the OneDrive Cloud Recycle Bin?

Welcome to the forum. Items in the onedrive cloud recycle bin are automatically deleted after 30 days.

I wonder if it's because they unlinked their computer before emptying the Recycle Bin.

I've just relinked my laptop to the OneDrive server, cleared the Recycle Bin on my laptop, and deleted everything on OneDrive Server but "Personal Vault" (it's just an empty folder) - yet, I still receive the same messages as before, and NO "Delete" button/option for the 50+ Recycle Bin items on the OneDrive server...

Is there any other way to expedite the whole deletion besides waiting for another 30 days? Thanks again!

I only have one other suggestion that might work but I have my doubts. Try logging out then log back in.

I did what you'd suggested but nothing happened... Same Recycle Bin full of files without the "Delete" option...
