First option (create a new partition) you can do with Minitool.I'll try the one you set forth a couple of posts up. Thanks!
Minitoll creates a script with individual commands and when you hit Apply it does all in the sequence the script was created.
Select the recovery partition, right click and select delete.
Right click on the unallocated space created (17G+225G) and select Create. On the window that opens give the partition a name and a letter.
Hit apply
