I am new to this forum so forgive me I miss some protocol. I my addition the this thread is that I tried everything I could think of and never could get it to boot. I reinstalled the OS and finally got it to boot again with new OS. How ever I lost all programs and settings that I had added.
Does anyone have any idea why this happened.

Something either corrupted the boot files (BCD) contained in the EFI system partition, or corrupted files in the Windows installation itself.

This is the ISO file I used to install. WIN11.PRO.21H2.SUPERLITE+COMPACT.X64.(WPE). I have reinstalled but something is still not right as Ghost Toolbox opens and immediately closes. When I first loaded this OS I loved it and set up many apps and changed settings to my liking but now I am not sure I will be able to get it working. Maybe this approach to getting more usable OS is too complicated for me. Although I have built many computers over they years but moslty installed standard marketplace OS save for one Laptop that I installed Linux Mint. By the way the computer listed on My Computers in this forum is not the laptop I am loading OS. It is not working so I am on my desk top PC.

Maybe you should post on the Superlite forum rather than this standard Windows 11 forum? We can't offer support for these customized versions of Windows 11.

Probably this version disables some services and other features by default and some update needs one of the disabled feature and installs incorrectly corrupting your system. I cannot think of another cause. It is like forcing shutdown the computer while installing updates and then it cannot normally start Windows again because of corrupted files. I suggest you install the standard Windows 11 version and then disable some features and all visual effects to make it lighter.

Agreed - @Drams, furthermore there is no benefit in using these anyway. To be honest, people should not use them without understanding the pitfalls that can arise.

There is misguided belief that Lite means slicker - nah - it just means hacked around to seem better.

Lite means that the programmer has disabled some features and Windows services to make it faster based on his own criteria. If you attempt to use these you either cannot or have unexpected behavior. Besides I have hardly seen any real benefit in performance over the standard version. That is I recommend using the standard version and disable some stuff manually. In case you are in trouble you can enable some of them, in Lite versions you cannot, they are gone permanently. I have compared Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs (official Microsoft Lite version of XP) with the standard Windows XP, very little performance gain, didn't like the lack of too many features. I have also compared Windows Thin Client (the official Microsoft Windows 7 Lite version) with Windows 7, same here. Not worth the lack of features. So I always install the standard versions and make it faster myself.

Thanks for the comments. Looks like I expected too much from the lite version of windows by Ghost Spectre. Sorry I posted on the wrong forum. I will either abandon my use of Superlite or go that forum for support. Again thanks for your comments.

Try using Compact. I went with Ghost Spectre Compact-Def and after using it for a while I got rid of Windows 11 Pro and use Ghost now. It is stable and very fast.
