South India is a predominantly coffee country and tea is considered a poor man's drink.. One can find tea only in roadside tea stalls . Move over to North India, tea is the ruling king. Coffee almost non-existent. South indians travelling north always find it difficult to locate a coffee shop.

I use a LuvLifeWell stainless steel coffee dripper.

I tried growing strawberries a couple of years then gave up.
I grew from plants (bare roots) & they grew fine except then I had a lot of pill bugs & as soon as the berries got ripe the pill bugs (PB) were eating holes in them. I tried using plastic sheeting (the next year) to keep the berries off the ground & warm the soil, that helped w/ the PB but they never produced many so I just gave up on growing them. Now I have about a dozen lizards in the back yard that eat PB, worms, earwigs & the babies will eat the little black ants. This year I plan on growing watermelon in the old strawberry area.

My alarm clock is, for whatever reason is dying. It's less than 2 years old. The numbers have a flicker to them and twice now it has reset itself, making me reset the time. So my latest online purchase is an alarm clock. My hearing is terrible, and most alarm clocks use a tone I can hardly hear. I went with this one. Bought a 1.5kW Mylek ceramic wall-mounted radiator. It was ordered 11.10 a.m yesterday and arrived a 8.05 a,m this morning. Now fixed to the wall and wired.

Born and raised in the US, but both my parents are from N India (UP).

Still, I'm a coffee drinker. I use an all glass French Press (which I just bought last month, replacing an older press that has seen better days) and get only Kona coffee from Aikane Plantation.

Nice dripper there, I've not tried dripper methods yet. Do you grind your own beans?

Another mesh node: AX-86s Wifi-6 to replace an AX-82U, the latter having failed after working perfectly for about 4 days. Now I have a Wifi-6 mesh with an AX-86s and AX-82-U. Hope this one lasts.

Amazon failed big time on one of my orders (Elgato Wave 1 mic).
Waited for a week. Delivered today based on tracking info. Went to get it from mail box. It was nowhere to be found.

Contacted Amazon through chat and stated my case. First reply I got was to give me a full refund without any further question. That was easy. Smelled fishy as if they know that nothing was really sent to me. Oh well. At least they did not make it hard to get my money back.

They may actually know it was not delivered. They monitor their drivers pretty well, and a lot of them get busted for marking a package as delivered but with no proof - I routinely see both Amazon and UPS drivers having to take pics now to show proof of delivery from their end, and I've talked to a few local drivers since I have a distribution center not 5 miles away, and they can give you an earful of the horror stories of what they have to do and how basically a driver mis-delivers a package to another address, or even worse, never delivers it. In fairness to Amazon, though, if the drivers were more dependable, it probably would not be so bad for them.

What I don't understand is I was given a week before I receive my order. I am a prime member so most of my orders usually arrive the same day or next day. I thought they will need more time to ship it from a remote location. But then it was shipped 6 days after placing the order and arrived to me the day after. What was that all about??? Why do they need 1 week if it can be delivered the next day?

Be aware that while Amazon "may" monitor "their" drivers, UPS, Fed Ex, and some others are also still used to deliver their packages. Those they can't monitor.

That said, I personally do believe the package was delivered per the tracking system. However, that doesn't mean it was delivered to the "correct" address, or the possibility the package was stolen.

Unfortunately, I've actually witnessed a delivery person delivering my package to the wrong building, and getting a notification my package was delivered. I've also had other people's package placed at my front door. It happens.

All that said, it also wouldn't surprise me the person dealing with badrobot's issue, simply refunded the order just to clear the issue, and keep the customer happy. I got a 300-dollar camera tripod for free plus a replacement cause the item I got was open and missing some minor hardware (multi-screwdriver). Zero issues with the tripod itself which was still in its plastic cover. Called Amazon expecting to send the open item back for replacement, instead they told me to keep it, and sent me a replacement the next day. I ended up with two tripods for the price of one.

I suspect they did this being I've been an Amazon user since 2000, and a Prime Member since 2005. Coincidentally though, I got an email from them about weeks later saying I owed them a tripod. Thank God I keep records so I simply sent them a copy of the email saying I could keep the tripod and that was that
