The obvious lag is checking for updates. I understand that due to Stardock being down.

I have the default Windows Start Menu enabled on Start11, and clicking on the Windows Menu was taking a bit of time. That's when I decided to visit the Stardock forum to see if anyone had posted something about it. And then I discovered the Stardock outtage. I hope it's not serous.

For the last couple of days, some websites have been inactive or buggy.
Count Mike reported that Majorgeeks was down. I couldn’t get to my server for a few hours for the first time ever. (I’m yet to ask the company why)
Wondering if there is a relation between any of these, perhaps a random client playing funny buggers or underground cable issues etc.

Maybe someone is as peeved off as I am because they have once again released a version of Fences (6) that they want more money for.

I was at a very upmarket fruit market the other day. They had grapes bigger than I had ever seen before. They looked perfect with no imperfections on them. They were massive, and they were expensive. But they had signs up everywhere about not tasting the fruit before buying. 😞

In the past I have been using Start11 V2, but I left it because I had found some settings for Windhawk, that brought me a more satisfying UI than Start11.
But I still have a valuable V2 licence and just tried to download the most recent version. Was not even able to access my account...

Must be something quite serious when none of their sites do function anymore...

I've never seen such a potentially serious Stardock problem before.
I'm suspecting a hardware failure. But those guys will have backups.

I'm not looking to completely replace the Windows 11 default start menu. I would just like additonal functionality that Start11 gives me, while still allowing me access to the Windows 11 start menu.

I understand the other side of the coin. People abuse the situation and taste fruit at will with no thought of buying. The company would have nothing left in a few hours if people walked past tasting grapes and other fruit.

When I was using Start11, it was in combination with the start menu of Open Shell. That suits me very well (several options for start menu UI).
Now on Windhawk I am using Open Shell for start menu as well, nothing changed as far as start menu is concerned.

In Open Shell, clicking start button is opening Open Shell menu, Shift clicking start button is opening the normal Windows 11 start menu.
In Open Shell the choice for start menu UI is 'Classic Style', 'Classic Style with 2 columns' (my choice) and 'Windows 7' (which is one of the options of Start11 as well).
