I am an old man, closer to death than middle age. Now I am crying uncontrollably, Finland is 2022 ice hockey World Champion! I am also a patriot, loving my native Finland, although I have not lived there in over 30 years. In fact, I haven't even visited Finland in past 10 years. That might be why I crying.

Anyway, Finland took gold, Canada silver.

Lots of sad Scots today, after Scotland got humped by Ukraine (and media was telling everybody, Scotland would respect Ukraine, but would not go easy on them as Scotland players still had duty to its fans to qualify for the World Cup).

It seems Ukraine players were unaware that they were the underdogs and would have to raise their game to beat Scotland, so did not play like underdogs LOL.

Not in Scotland for many, as we only get 4 statutory fixed date Bank Holidays (England gets 8), so the annual leave entitlement is increased by 4 days to compensate (this is done to get round the mess that the dates of the other 4 public holidays used to vary in date depending on where you lived (even for towns only a few miles apart). These holidays used to coincide historically with local market days which varied as markets moved around.

Although for many, it is two days of holidays, only one is additional, the other was May Holiday moved back a day.

Some Scottish companies have angered staff by not even granting their staff this extra day as no legal obligation to do so!

It all seems a bit of a mess, I don't care because I took early retirement a couple of years ago, I not so sure as we get anything extra as they have moved Monday to today and maybe have moved the Later holiday to Friday, it dose seem a bit unfair either way
