Windows 11 24H2 Update Error

that shouldnt be stopping it.. i have malwarebytes and had zero issues upgrading. you could try disabling it but i doubt it will change. so you did an inplace upgrade to repair reinstall 23h2 and even that failed?
i have tried a few different ways of doing the in place upgrade yea, i haven't done any repair installs of 23H2, any advice on that?

now you lost me... an in-place upgrade is a repair reinstall. in-place upgrade is not upgrading to a new build. try an in-place upgrade and see if it fixes any corruptions in 23h2 that may allow you to upgrade to 24h2 afterward

Sorry maybe I used the wrong words, I have tried to do the upgrade via Win Update, setup.exe from the iso, and tried the one that was just recommended by bypassing the hardware checks.
Thank you, I will try this

I mounted it with Windows 11 File Explorer not a 3rd party program. CMD as administrator etc.
It must be exactly as video.

its an option on windows 11 too, but mounting the iso and running from setup.exe is something you've already done. doesn't matter how/what you use to mount the iso. all the same. even burning to a dvd and launching setup.exe from the disc would be the same.

no you need to download the 23h2 iso. then "reinstall" your os. you wont lose any data. just download the 23h2 iso and follow the tutorial to repair reinstall 23h2. hopefully whatever is stopping you from upgrading will be repaired and after a repair reinstall the 24h2 will go through. worth a shot since you've tried every other method our community can think of...

if an in-place upgrade of your current os fails, then its a bigger issue than initially thought. i'll do some digging. maybe someone else here may know something im not thinking of at the moment

@LurkingCrayon You should mention which version of Windows 11 (regarding 21H2, 23H2, etc), and also build number. It may help give insight into your issue.
