Windows 11 PC shuts down sometimes after waking from sleep mode

Sometimes when I put my PC to sleep or when it sleeps automatically it shuts down when I press the power button to wake it. This is like the 2-3rd time it happened.

Once when I put it to sleep mode and the other is when I left PC and it went to sleep mode....

How do I resolve this issue?

Are you talking about the physical power button on the PC or the power off in start menu? Also check your Power Options in Control Panel.

I had a very similar problem on my brand new computer. When it went to sleep, it would power off after awhile. I fixed it by turning off automatic restart and hibernation. I think hibernation was my problem. MSI support recommended going into Device Manager and turning off "Let windows power down this device" for the CPU, but I had already solved it myself so I did not do that.

It's a fairly common problem from all the articles I was able to find, like this one:

The interesting thing about sleep on this computer is that pressing a key on the keyboard does not wake up the computer. I have to press the physical power button, and LED by the power button is flashing.

Actually, the mouse should be able to wake the PC / notebook from sleep.

Is this "Device Manager and turning off "Let windows power down this device" for the CPU" in Power options? I don't see that in Device Manager.

Sorry. I didn't write it down. I was just seeing if support came up with the same solution that worked for me, but it did have something about allowing windows to turn off the cpu device. I did some searching and could not find it.

Both my mouse and my keyboard have that box checked to allow this device to wake the computer, but neither does it. It's like it enters a deep sleep, like hibernation, but I have hibernation disabled.

Done this already, I have two PCs in the room and sometimes it would switch or rotate. One time PC1 will sometimes shut down after waking from sleep and then couple of months PC2 will have the same problem. Seems like it's taking turns. Doesn't happen at the same time.

Possible outlet problem?
