* Moderator(s)- My post isn't seeking advice but just letting members know how the upgrade to Windows 11 went. If needed feel free to relocate elsewhere.
Windows 11 gave me an excuse to upgrade my non-compatible CPU for one that was. I cringed at the thought of building a new PC that could render video better than my current build. But, for a fraction of the cost I could not only improve my slow renders but also upgrade to Windows 11. Two birds, etc.
BUT, reading all the possible upgrade issues with older hardware was as desirable as jumping off a cliff. And, how well would a new CPU work with my older hardware? All indications said everything should work. I decided to go for it & the new CPU upgrade went great. So, now my PC has 50% more cores & a 30% increase in Mhz. Now on to the Win 11 upgrade.
Windows 11 upgrade? No problem! I can't believe how fast the upgrade went. I'm sure there are many differences to be found but so far I have found the changes to be a headache; just different. Time will tell.
