It's okay not to like it. But it's also okay to like. What is not okay is calling people names just because they like RGB? Just say you don't like it. Period.

I made the purchase and it is on its way! I made some changes to cut my cost back. But it is still going to be Awesome. There are only two changes. The CPU and the M.2. I am supper pumped! It should be here within 7 days. :love: I'm still planning on a video of the build but trying to figure out how and make it look good. But that's a side note. Here's my line up. Total $1550.00. O! By the way... I have only 20 mm clearance between the glass face and the cooler. Now that's a Tight Fit.

Looks OK.

Why'd you go for a 12th gen CPU rather than 14th (I5-14600KF)? At newegg.ca, they are the same price. You'd get a few more e-cores with the 14600. A Z790 motherboard would be good with either.

Have you tried connecting the front panel power LED cable to the HD LED header instead? That should get it to do double duty as both the HD activity LED as well as the power LED.

I don't understand. Won't the LED then only illuminate during HD activity?

Some newer cases don't have the traditional separate plugs for the front panel items. They use a single large plug that assumes a standard layout of the front panel header.

It will. Then again with the amount of activity that goes on behind the scenes with Windows it will be flickering on and off almost constantly. If nothing else it works as a visual clue for both.

P.S. FWIW my case only has the HD LED and no power LED.

When I switched out the SSDs to NVMe M.2 drives I lost the Drive Activity LED on the WSE2016 (server).
So I installed this Activity light. it lights up in the system tray so I moved it to the task bar w/o any problems. Even though it cannot be seen from outside the case its better than nothing as the WSE2016 OS likes to sort the BU files before I run my BUs.

I haven't decided yet to install it on the Test Rig w/ the Fractural Design case yet, probably will eventually.

To each their own :)
I need one to show me when the Server SSD (pool) is done sorting the BU files, which usually takes 2± hours so I can begin the client backups.
I can walk by & see if the LED is still flickering, don't need to sit at desk to tell when done.

If I had the case, CPU and motheboard, I would be putting that much together. Love it when a key component is missing like an SSD.. Then I can spend extra time getting my wiring all neat and pretty.
