It's possible. Some registry patches just apply immediately. Some require us to restart Explorer, some require a reboot.
So I just reboot every time.
Here... I think it's time to send out the @Brink signal...

Like I said... he's probably still in bed, or maybe at church? Give him a couple hours.
He needs time to go to the Brink-cave, put on his Brink-suit, fire up the Brink-mobile, and come to the rescue. :-)
Alright I’ll wait for him then, but thank you so much for taking out the time to answer everyone of my questions however frustrating they might have felt😩😅😅😅 I’ll wait for brink to come on then I’ll ask

Oh okay, so it’s possible that me not rebooting was the issue, I will try the whole process again sha, also please, when you say I should change the product key how do you mean? Am I to retype the same product key I was told Belong to a windows 11 home??

Yes! :-)

Do the change product key in "Settings" option. Just type your Home key in the product key box, and click Activate.

Keep in mind that your HOME product key may be blacklisted (not valid). I don't know.
If the HOME product key doesn't work like it should... then you will want to check out the Activation Troubleshooter tutorial.

Yes i can lol, by the way, the product key thing did not work, i think I can only use it for the Windows 11 home and not the Pro at all

Personally, I would NOT downgrade from Pro to Home. Home has more restrictions than Pro does.
BUT... the Downgrade tutorial is the only information I have on the subject.

The tutorial may be out of date. I doubt it, but it's possible. It does happen about 1 in a 1000 times.
Wait for @Brink, he should be online soon.

Keeping up on all the tutorials is a monumental task, as Microsoft changes things almost daily, and with no method to their madness. Brink will "see" the places I mentioned him in this discussion. Relax, have some coffee or breakfast... he will be here soon.

One other thing that may help is to post you exact Windows version number. In the Taskbar search box type: winver ...and post a screen shot of the version dialog. Like so...

For all we know, you may be on an Insider or Beta version, that might prevent the tutorial from working?
There are some things that only work on certain versions of Windows.
Most of the times, things like this are noted in the tutorials, but sometimes, someone has to discover them first.

I understand but the problem is I do not have a product key for the Pro, and it is frustrating, I'd rather use a home I have access to a product key than the Pro that I do not have a product key for, I don't know if you feel me.

Ahhhh... now ve understand ze problem.
If worse comes to worst, you can always just do a clean install of Windows 11, using your valid HOME product key.
That will definitely work. I do understand that you want to "keep your programs".

There is also this option... quite often this drops to $29.99

StackSocial is a valid website and has huge discounts on various product's keys.
Just use the magnifying glass search icon at top right to find the software key(s) you're looking for.

Ahhhh... now ve understand ze problem.
If worse comes to worst, you can always just do a clean install of Windows 11, using your valid HOME product key.
That will definitely work. I do understand that you want to "keep your programs".

There is also this option... occasionally this drops to $29.99

Yes that’s the problem, the product key available is for a windows 11 home and not pro, because I updated my software from windows 10 so it is the product key I have and it can only work for 11 home and not 11 pro, I don’t know if you het

StackSocial is a valid website and has huge discounts on various product's keys.
I really do need to keep my programs, I’ve lost my programs and files, I can’t even afford to loose them😩😭😭😭

I understand... now.
As I mentioned earlier... the more info you provide, the better.
There is usually more than one solution to a given problem.
Knowing that you don't "have" a Win 11 Pro key at all... makes things much more clear. :-)

We are NOT Microsoft. You can tell us anything, and you will NOT be... assimilated.

The problem "may" be that it won't work unless the downgrade is "started" from a Windows version that "has" a product key? There are a lot of functions that are disabled on a Windows version with no product key.

Microsoft: Resistance is futile!

I understand completely. On many forums providing too much information can be a seriously bad idea.

On these forums though... we are all volunteers that... just like to help.
And unlike MS, telemetry doesn't do us, any good. You have to explain things fully, for us to be able to answer properly.

If this was the land of OZ... this forum would be the "good witch"...

And Microsoft would be...
