I didn't go back to check your system details, but if you are using a system that originally shipped with a Windows Home edition, you will want to be aware of this:
If you ever attempt to perform a clean install of Windows in the future, Windows setup will look at the signature in the BIOS and see that the system originally shipped with the Home edition and will select that edition automatically. To get around do this:
Create a text file called
ei.cfg. Place the following two lines in that file:
[Channel]
Retail
NOTE: Use something like notepad to create this file. Don’t use a program like Word that can insert special formatting characters into the file.
Place the
ei.cfg file in the
\sources folder on your installation media.
Now, Windows Setup will present to you a list of available editions from which you can choose the Pro edition.
