Check the Documents folder for the ISO.

I am sorry you got an error.

I’ll contact them.
You were right -- it was written to the documents folder. And it IS 26100.1742 -- the build number I provided was wrong.

Sorry for the misinformation.

Windows ISO
Win11_24H2_EnglishInternational_x64.iso

Problem with "In place upgrade" stated by mounting ISO and running Setup.exe. Option to keep APPs and personal files is greyed out and can't be selected but I'm not ready for clean install yet. Of personal files I have little and all are backed up anyway but have too many (over 100) APPs/programs/games to reinstall and many of them would have to be registered again and that together with settings and customization/optimizations might take couple of week

Is there any way to fix ????

An in-place upgrade that doesn't allow you to keep personal files and apps is usually down to a language mismatch between the installed Windows and the ISO, as it suggests at the bottom of your screenshot. To find the base language of your installed Windows type systeminfo in a command prompt and look for 'System Locale:'

i'd suggest also UNINSTALL 2nd lang BEFORE doing the update, and then re-install it again afterwards otherwise Lang can (depends on the 2nd language maybe) get horribly hosed up - especially if the 2nd language is just a language pack and input method (keyboard).

Doing that seems to work properly -- don't forget also to set administrative language option so logon etc is done in 2nd language otherwise it's in Eng.

Cheers

Yes, English (United States) is the one you need to upgrade an en-us Windows install and keep all your apps.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

@jimbo45 I only have Keyboards for other languages installed.
If that was the original lang. from your initial / previous install. I'd still "Undo" any other lang you have before doing the update and then add afterwards.

If Winver output appears in text of your 2nd lang and the wastebin name on the desktop is also in the required language then you will have it all working properly. If these appear in Eng then language is hosed up and you'll have a dogs dinner of a mess with bits and pieces in a mixture of languages.

E.g here it works properly -- lang ISL. OK it's IOT Enterprise but same is true for W11 Pro (I don't have W11 Home so can't say on that edition).

Yes, both are in English although many other things are in Serbian, with awful translation if I may ad.
I actually still have original ISO with which I run Repair install in December 2022.

Hi there

@CountMike

Go back and restore your previous version, uninstall lang Serbian, re-boot, now re-install again. After install complete add lang serbian, set lang serbian to windows display language set in admin lang settings - change welcome and logon screens to lang serbian, re-boot and it should all be fixed OK. Don't reboot at the ist prompt when changing the windows display language -- also change the admin lang settings too before re-booting.

You'll just have to put up with some of the translations but once you've installed OK then it should be "reasonable" -- note also before doing the update after uninstalling serbian ensure you still have the appropriate fonts -- I assume they are cyrllic. I'd keep ENG keyboard too if you have one - easier when posting in Eng than remembering different key combos when switching languages.

Note also if you use OFFICE -- OFFICE LTSC 2021 is the last one that has most languages, Office 2024 LTSC currently only has languages available that Windows is available in at retail -- so a lot fewer.

Cheers
jimbo
